Children’s Books
"Michelson’s poems—jaunty, rhythmic rhymes—lie lightly on the tongue and ear…young readers get just the
kind of details they will relish
(and the reactions of squeamish
parental readers will provide an added bonus)."
- Horn Book
Richard Michelson writes both heartwarming, historical stories, and imaginative, word loving poetry collections. His first children’s book was listed by the New Yorker as a Best Book of 1993. Subsequent books have received a Children’s Book Committee Book of the Year, a Jewish Book Council Book of the Month, and a Skipping Stones Magazine Multicultural Honor Award. Three of his books have been named to The New York Public Library’s annual list of “Best Children’s Books for Reading and Sharing."
